We decided 2 years ago that it was time to leave Japan to return to the States to live. Gerad was tentatively offered a job in Tampa, FL, so we flew to Florida in Feb. 2009 for Gerad to meet with people at the school and for me to begin looking for a place to live.
Sue Paskert, Tampa real estate agent, spend 3 days showing me houses in South Tampa. We wanted a 3 bedroom, 2 bath house in South Tampa close to Gerad's school. We didn't want a large house, and we didn't want to spend much for a house. Sue was patient, kind, caring, and patient again while I rejected house after house.
The last house I saw interested me. Luckily it was later in the day after his meetings were finished so Gerad was with me for the visit. We wouldn't have had time for him to go back to look at it later. It was old, built in 1956, and needed updating. The front of the house was divided into several small rooms, including a tiny kitchen, but it had the 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms I was looking for and seemed to have possibilities.
It seemed overpriced, but the location was good, less than 2 miles from his school and close to his school. It was also in one of the best school districts in South Tampa. We are empty-nesters, so we weren't too concerned about the school districts, but Sue kept emphasizing that the school districts are important for resale at a later date.

She was consistent, cooperative and upbeat and went out of her way to show the house and point out it’s possitive aspects. Many times she would drive all the way from Tampa to provide boat transportation for possible Buyers.
Sue was very patient with us and our many family members who used the house from time to time and would be there when she needed to show the house.
